MilitaryWorks is assisting our award-winning, progressive engineering client in finding Civil/Transportation Engineers for designing a wide variety of civil, transportation and roadway engineering projects. The candidates will work out of one of four locations offering flexible schedules. Job Description:
Perform and/or direct the design of transportation engineering projects.
Prepare and/or check reports, studies, design calculations, plans, specifications and estimates.
Conduct site/field visits.
Manage scope, budget, schedule, and client needs for several simultaneous projects.
Work with engineers of all experience levels to produce innovative and high-quality solutions.
Assist with preparing proposals and statements of qualifications for projects.
Contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications Desired:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and PE license required.
Six years of experience with at least three years in roadway/street/highway design.
Experience with local government or other transportation projects, along with an understanding of the policies and procedures of these owner entities.
Experience in the direct procurement, management, and design of such projects in MO or IL strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation with Geopak, PowerGeopak, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software a plus.
Experience in other specialties such as traffic analysis, PTOE certification, hydraulics/hydrology, or greenways/recreational trails/PROWAG a plus.
Ability to cultivate and develop client relationships.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and possess the ability to direct the work of junior staff.
