Salary: $90-125,000


MilitaryWorks is assisting our award-winning, progressive engineering client in finding Structural Engineers for designing a wide variety of bridges and other structural engineering projects. The candidates will work out of one of ten locations offering flexible schedules. Job Description:

  • Performing and/or directing the design of bridges and other structural engineering projects.

  • Preparing plans, specifications and estimates.

  • Conducting site/field inspections.

  • Working with engineers of all experience levels to produce innovative and high-quality solutions.

  • Career path may include project management and business development involving client and stakeholder interaction; developing scopes, schedules and budgets; billings; and more.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree with structural emphasis and PE license is required. A Master’s degree with emphasis in structural engineering is a plus and/or an IL SE license is desirable, but not required.

  • Five years of applicable full-time experience.

  • Demonstrated ability with CAD (MicroStation preferred), spreadsheets, and general structural analysis software.

  • Motivation to tackle unique structural design challenges in addition to more typical engineering projects.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and possess the ability to direct the work of junior staff.

  • Team-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Attention to detail.
