MilitaryWorks is assisting our award-winning, progressive engineering client in finding Structural Engineers for designing a wide variety of bridges and other structural engineering projects. The candidates will work out of one of ten locations offering flexible schedules. Job Description:
Performing and/or directing the design of bridges and other structural engineering projects.
Preparing plans, specifications and estimates.
Conducting site/field inspections.
Working with engineers of all experience levels to produce innovative and high-quality solutions.
Career path may include project management and business development involving client and stakeholder interaction; developing scopes, schedules and budgets; billings; and more.
Qualifications Desired:
Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree with structural emphasis and PE license is required. A Master’s degree with emphasis in structural engineering is a plus and/or an IL SE license is desirable, but not required.
Five years of applicable full-time experience.
Demonstrated ability with CAD (MicroStation preferred), spreadsheets, and general structural analysis software.
Motivation to tackle unique structural design challenges in addition to more typical engineering projects.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and possess the ability to direct the work of junior staff.
Team-oriented and self-motivated.
Attention to detail.
